Women I think of any age don't like being called Ma'am . It's funny how in the south it's used as a sign of respect. And the British use it as a term of address for high ranking female officers or the Queen. Here in New York most, if not all women see it as referring to them being old. I find it strange that depending on how I'm dressed or how my hair is colored will usually determine if I am called Miss or Ma'am, For me is goes deeper then it being an age reference thing. It' has become a pet peeve of mine. I absolutely cannot stand the word! Mostly because  everyone here in New York uses it incorrectly!.I remember some years ago I was in a CVS store and one of the employees kept calling me Ma'am. Mind you she was older then I was. It really was driving me up the wall, especial since I was only 22 or 25 at the time. I know some of you are thinking well their just trying to give good customer service and be polite. I've been giving a lot of thought to the Blythe hobby lately.Thinking about how much it's changed and how I've changed along with it. I remember dolls being a lot cheaper then they are now. My first doll wasn't even that expensive and I was so new to the hobby I didn't even know there was a difference. I didn't know that some dolls cost more because of their base. I knew nothing about what the base of a doll was or make or the year it was created. I just remember going on eBay and looking up Blythe dolls. I remember seeing some that were more expensive then others and just thinking it must just be because some people valued their dolls and wanted more money then others, lol. There were descriptions like this is a such and such and It meant nothing to me. Mostly because I was so new to the hobby I didn't understand Anniversary, SBL or RBL differences,  I just thought a Blythe was a Blythe.  My first Blythe had an Emily in the addict theme. Man, ...

I normally don't write post about racism, but I have been noticing a disturbing trend on social media more and more lately. Someone who works for NYLON magazine put out a comment meme that said and I quote,'' These are the facts: Things that don't exist - Racism against white people'' I usually don't comment back on things like that on social media cause I feel like if you are posting such ignorant stuff or agreeing with it, then my chances of having you see the light of day on how incorrect that comment is will be lost. But  I'm just so feed up with the blinders and propaganda that is going on in this country, that I did comment back. I told whoever wrote that comment that it was the stupidest thing I have ever read. And that racism exist in every culture and every race!. What If  You Have Already Fulfilled Your Potential And None Of Us Noticed-  I read that the other day and it really resonated with me. It was written by an artist, I'm not sure of his full name. I found one of his pieces of art on one of Hi- Fructose magazines websites. They only had his first name which was David. He had that quote written across one of his pieces of art. It basically sums up how I feel about my art career.  I often sleep with my phone by my bed and sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and look at whatever messages or comments people have left me. Last night I woke up at 2am and there were these two woman having a conversation on one of my Instagram pictures. One lady put her friend in the comment saying ''I think you would like this'' She was referring to one of my pieces of mixed media art I did.
