Your Ex is Your Ex for a reason.

Last year I had a whole series of blogs that were about pet peeves I have.  If I hadn't deleted them I could've added this post to collection.  Yesterday my ex boyfriend text me and is complaining about his life,.. again!  He hates his job and feels like he's wasting his life because his art career, or should I say lack of it, isn't taking off the way he feels it should at this point in his life. Thus not allowing him to survive off his art sales solely.. yada, yada, yada.  I should mention he's 36 and still living at home with his parents. Was working full time up until a month ago when he decided to cut his shifts in half. And now only works 3 days a week, so he can have more time and less money to devote to this failing art career of his!. As a result of all those actions he is now broke all the time and depressed. So at this point he's texting me for sympathy I assume. And you know what, I am a very empathic person, but I told him I thought getting ri...

Insta-everything

I was just reading an article from Dance magazine about how Instagram is changing the dance world. They were saying that so many of the hyper- elastic, hyper- flexible dancers we see posting videos      and pictures on Instagram are giving the dance world and many of it's younger dancers an unrealistic view into the dance world. Saying Instagram seems to be filled more with pictures and videos of dancers who can't actually dance, and that most are lacking technique. Filled with an endless array of one trick ponies. I am more than familiar with the kinds of photos they spoke about. I myself have sat in awe looking at some of those pictures thinking how the f*ck they'd do that. A body isn't suppose to blend that way, lol. The article goes on to say that the average/good is rarely celebrated!, and that extremes are what's held in high standers. Be it in dance, beauty or lifestyles.   It was just interesting reading an article that sums up the way I feel. Only for me ...

Regret

''We crucify ourselves between two thieves: regret for yesterday and fear of tomorrow. ''   Quote by Fulton Oursler We all have regrets right, some more then others,. I think for me my regrets have changed over the years. I think you know your true regrets when they are the ones that have stayed with you since day one. You've never waivered from them.    I read an article the other day and it said the number one thing people regret in life once they become old is not the things they did, but rather the things they didn't do. I think when I get old that will be my number one regret, that and perhaps a few others mixed in for good measure, lol Traveling and seeing more of the world was always something I wanted to do more of. And I don't mean places within the United States but rather out of the country. I would love to see the glow worm caves in New Zealand or to travel to Madagascar! As I get older it becomes more apparent that in less I plan on hitti...

Sometimes

''You know, sometimes in life all you have are f*cked up, poisonous choices'' Rosalyn- That's a quote from one of my favorite movies American hustle.   That quote really resonates with me. More then once in life I have felt that way when presented with certain options or choices. All the stuff I keep reading about in the news it make one question where they stand on a lot of topics. Who or what side do you choose. Everything seems so divided these days. you are either for the left or your with the right wing conservatives.   Leaves a person like me stuck somewhere in the middle because I choose nether side. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who feels like both of  these groups are filled with extremist nut jobs!. They have some views I agree with but both are overall way to extreme in their views on most topics. The people in these groups seems to have one thing in common I've noticed. You are either with them in their views or they see you a...

I may have to find some type of therapy

A little under two years ago I had an accident that has left me in fear. Let me back track and start from the beginning so to make it more clear for you. Almost two years ago, on a Friday morning I went out to do some shopping. I picked up some hair dye, a new bottle of perfume.  I'll never forget the perfume it was Angel by Thierry Mugler. To this day, I can't stand the smell of it!. I'll get to that in a minute. I had also picked up a new workout shirt and pants. I headed home and had a wonderful night at home planned out. I was going to order some takeout and watch some of my favorite TV shows. But first I wanted to dye my hair and take a shower cause my hair was pretty over grown and wasn't looking so good. I mixed up the dye and put it in my hair. It was time to rinse my hair and so I turned the shower on and proceeded to step in. The floor of the shower felt a little slippery, but I ignored it.  ...
